NUP Die Hard Members Defect to NRM

The national Unity Platform (NUP) in the Rwenzori region lost diehard members that crossed to the ruling National Resistance Movement party a few hours to the close of members of parliament nominations after being denied the flag for the Member of Parliament in their respective areas.

Kahindo Nono Amina was welcomed at the Mayors' garden in Kasese town and Bagonza Geoffrey was welcomed at the NRM head offices in Bundibugyo town where they expressed their dissatisfaction and handed over the party cards and red ribbon and later wore the yellow beret.

Their decision comes at a time when a flag that they had earlier been handed to them was later given to other people.

Bagonza Geoffrey who also defected to national resistance movement at the last day of nominations in Bundibugyo district said he was full nominated as flag bearer for the national unity platform but because too much disagreements, adding that currently is not in position to carry the NUP flag and to continue with the strangle that’s why he decided to join the ruling government.
