Naome Kabasharira Voters Resume Protests

Protests have resumed Rwahi-Rwentobo town council in Ntungamo district supporters of Naome Kabasharira wants Ntungamo registrar Maria Mirembe to resign accusing her of ridging votes in favor of Rukutana. The road has been blocked with stones.

The protestors have gone a head to block the Rwahi-Rwentobo road hence jeopardizing traffic.

Meanwhile, this is a recap from the previous protests that occurred 2 days ago after the Tanga Odoi the NRM electoral commission chairperson declared Rukutana as the leading candidate basing on partial results.

The voters are demanding that the results from the previous internal NRM elections between Rukutana and Kabasharira be declared as soon as possible.
