FDC president calls for transitional government

Opposition party FDC is proposing to table a bill to form a transitional government which will be running the country during this period under which were supposed to have election.

 This was among the proposals which the party submitted before the parliamentary legal committee as the committee is in process of consulting   on the forth coming proposed scientific elections.

This was part of the presentation which the party president Amuriat Oboy submitted before the committee.

The party vehemently   opposed the road map issued by the electrolytes commission which advocate for scientific elections saying  its non constitutional.

Amuriati  further rubbished  the road map citing  articles which  prohibit  political  parties  from organizing party  campaigns which is a requirement to all candidates.

Flanked by the party secretary general Nathan Nandala Mafaabi,Amuriati  opposed  the  roadmap  saying it infringes on the  fundamental  rights of freedom  of association ,movement,speech,assembly enshrined  in article ,29 of the  constitution.

He also expressed disappointment has blamed the minster for justice and constitutional affairs on his statement which he clims have been provocative to the opposition.

He has further   expressed disappointment on the conduct of electro commission where it has failed to advice the president and parliament on the running of the affairs.

Speaking during the same meeting the party secretary general Mandala Mafaabi has opposed this mode  of elections saying it disfranchised majority of Ugandans to participate in elections.

The committee is finalizing with the consultation process of the election road map after interfacing with the various stake holders to make a finals report to be submitted before the flow of parliament.
