Floods ravage Bulambuli district

In Bulambuli district the floods seem to be at its peak as more roads and gardens are being destroyed by the floods.

According Bulambuli district forestry officer Mr Mangeti Frank said that lack of trees in the district is the main cause of floods and also warned of some landslides, he is now appealing to the locals to plant more trees to control the floods.

He also added on that government only gives the district 5 millions shillings every year, of which money he says is just a drop in ocean, as it can’t do much on the need buying of trees to plant.  He calls upon government to add them some money so that they can do some meaningful work to protect the environment.
