COVID-19: Uganda Confirms 4 More Cases

According to the ministry of health, among the four cases confirmed yesterday, two are Ugandans and the other two Kenyan and Tanzanian truck drivers. This brings the total number of cases to 126.

The 2 Ugandan truck drivers and the Kenyan truck driver are believed to have entered the country through Elegu boarder point and the Tanzanian truck driver is believed to have entered the country-entered Uganda via Mutukula border point.

The four cases were part of 1,478 samples of truck drivers that were tested by the Uganda Virus Research Institute. So far, Uganda has tested more than 10,000 truck drivers.

Uganda currently has 126 cases; so far 55 cases have recovered and 71 cases are still active. The government is still collecting samples from the community as the truck drivers.
