President Museveni Suspends Public Transport for 14 Days

All public transport has been suspended for 14 days to curb down COVID-19


The president of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has suspended all public transport including taxis, motorcycles/boda-bodas, tuku-tukus, buses and so forth. The president went ahead to decree that the private vehicles are strictly allowed to carry only 3 persons including the driver. This will continue for a period of 14 days according to the president.
In order to ensure social distancing the president allowed the markets continue to operating but strictly limited to selling food stuffs.
meanwhile, the president directed all the public offices to allow only workers that will be doing essential work in order to limit the number of people occupying the office space.
