40000 Facing Eviction in Kiboga

Lands minister  Betty Amongi has instead handled the wrangles which has seen over 40,000 residents of Bukompe sub-county to the state minister Persis Namuganza. The minister had summoned the two wrangling parties which included Abin Alan a Ugandan Indian investor and the residents under their umbrella organization Kiboga cooperative union.

However, the meeting was instead halted after the minister sending off all the journalists and later transferring it to the date which is yet to be communicated. This has come after the Tuesday gruesome murder which saw one of the Everest Bizimungu who was chopped by unknown people.

Among those who were attending the meeting included honourable Sam Bitangalo who was the original owner of this land which he later sold to the residents.

Bitangalo has blamed the Indian investors for defying the minister's orders wh0o has instructed not to have further eviction.

Semanda Godfrey has expressed anger on the ministers conducts to leaving this responsibility to the junior minister.

The chairperson of Kiboga twegatte cooperative association  Tryamureba Julius has condemned the conduct of the minister asking the president to intervene in the matter.
