Building Collapses Kills Porters

A building has collapsed in Bakuli Bukesa Lubaga Division in Kampala this morning killing porters at the entry point to Hoima Road.

Eyewitnesses said that shoddy works on the site could have caused the incident. The site has more than 20 casual porters and police swiftly responded.

The site has soft soils with no withholding wall constructed to provide a firm foundation for the building. There is no confirmation of the number of those dead. Those injured have been taken to hospitals.
