A Ugandan film about male violence against women - 'Bed of Thorns' - has won the African category at an independent film festival in London.

The director Eleanor Nabwiso spoke to the BBC's Newsday programme about how her film is trying to force Ugandan society to end the taboo of gender-based violence.

"It's time someone spoke out about this," she said.
