Fear mounts on Vendors in Nkokonjeru market Buikwe district who are to be evicted.
The Landlord from John Lule family has issued an eviction notice citing the expiry of the lease.
Through their lawyers have clarified their move to Nkokonjeru Town Council, which is the area authority according to Edward Lule one of the family members that owns this land.
The family alleges that the town council had to pay shillings 300,000 per month.
Since 2006, they have only paid for three months forcing town clerk Kawuma Ronald to clarify on the initial agreement.
Musisi Ssaalongo the market Chairperson on behalf of the vendors called for calm and promised to resolve the issue harmoniously.
There are arrangements by the town council to have all vendors who are operating in unauthorized areas to move to stalls in the market.
