The Director General of Internal Security Organization (ISO) has intervened in the wrangles between two cattle trading companies Alisam Company and Babughirana Butcher men Development Association to find a conclusive solution for the two warring parties over cattle trading business at the border town of Mpondwe-Lhubiriha.
The two companies have been fighting for close to two years over the operation of their two abattoirs Mpondwe Abattoir that belongs to Babughurina association and the Lhubiriha Abattoir that belongs to Alisum Company.
The fight culminates from failure of the two companies to agree on the market days for doing business between Tuesday and Friday.
They are competing for both days and this has resulted into fighting for business between the two cattle trading companies.
The unending fights forced the Kasese RDC Lt Joe Walusimbi to call for a meeting yesterday between the two warring parties where he mentioned that the Director General of ISO advised him to make sure the two companies do business in shifts.
However the resolution was met with mixed reactions whereby the Managing Director for Alisam Company Saturday Musolo agreed with the ISO’s directive while his rival Joseph Musolo had reservations about the directive.
Joseph claimed that they have stepped on cattle theft, adding that they tried to call upon the government to look into the matter of cattle theft but all in vain.
He added that government should not tolerate the hearsays of insecurity from Alisam Company stressing that of resent he arrested a suspected rebel and handed him over to the security.
The people they suspects to be rebles are Bazare Sharif 26 Musoga by tribe & a resident of Maga-Maga village, Arafati Mulumba 14, a resident of Buluba viilage Waitampongwe in Mayuge District and Saluti Muhindo a resident of Kidulo village North kivu province in DR Congo.
When asked, RDC Lt. Joe Walusimbi about hearsays of insecurity confirmed the arrest without divulging the detention centre for the trio.
Cattle trade is one of the booming businesses in Mpondwe-Lhubiriha town council with high demand by traders from DR Congo.
