Minister of state for planning and economic development David Bahati was tasked to explain the errors on the budget framework paper he presented before the budget committee. The committee chairperson Amos Lugoloobi cited various errors, which came about because of the variations in soft copy and appropriation bill.

Among the error in the two documents were; the ministry of education was allocated Shs203billion in the appropriation bill, while in the soft copy received Shs300billion, ministry of health issued Shs58billion whereas in the soft copy is given Shs81billion, ministry of tourism was given Shs92billion & Shs122billion in the soft copy.

Other irregularities cited in organizations included Mulago woman specialized hospital, which was not put under Mulago hospital, but later in soft copy, it was given a vote, Entebbe regional hospital was also not put under Wakiso municipal council but later it was given a vote.

This has left the committee in dilemma, as it did not have the right figure to consider before making a report.

However, the minister who was appearing together with director budget Kenneth Mugamba latter asked the committee to excuse them to make further consultation.

This has shocked the MPs including Butambala county MP Muwanga Kivumbi and Buliisa County MP Steven Mukitale. The committee also heard from the commissioner general of URA Doris Akol who presented a document demanding the committee to approve Shs105b for the commission to introduce digital stamp.

Meanwhile, women civil society organizations have petitioned the speaker opposing the appointment of Christopher Gashirabake on allegation of sexually harassing his junior officer Samantha Mwesigye. The women led by female youth MP Anna Adeke requested the speaker Rebecca Kadaaga to intervene in the matter.
