A woman in Mukono Central division, Mukono municipality, has been arrested for allegedly assaulting her husband, Ssemambo John, 48.

The couple, who have one child together, got into an argument after the husband requested sex and the wife refused.

According to eyewitnesses, the situation escalated, resulting in the wife allegedly grabbing and injuring the husband's genitals. The husband retaliated by biting the wife's chin.

The couple was taken to Mukono police station for further investigation. Ssemambo John claimed that his wife had refused to fulfill her marital obligations, leading him to seek a separation.

The wife, Nakalema Rachael, was seen with injuries but declined to comment due to anger. Residents condemned the wife's actions, stating that it was a breach of her marital duties.

Village defense secretary Joseph Kamukanda urged couples to resolve disputes amicably, blaming the wife for the altercation. Police have arrested the wife for attempted assault.
