Gov’t Cooperates With Buganda To Fight A Strange Disease

The Buganda kingdom has entered into a partnership with the central government, through which they are to sign various contract to combat numerous diseases among the Kabaka’s subjects in various areas.

The meeting was held at Bulange Mengo, between the Buganda kingdom represented by Charles peter Mayiga the Katikkiro and permanent secretary of the ministry of healthy Dr Diana Atwine on behalf of the government.

In his speech Katikkiro said that there is new disease know as Lubera the renders the newly born deaf and blind, therefore starting next year the complaint to combat will be launched.

He added that through his agreement; they will be offering vaccination for various diseases in order to boost health in the Buganda kingdom and other parts of the nation.

According to Dr Atwine, many have been mistaking this sickness for measles due to the similarity of some symptoms, that why the government has come out tom partnership with Buganda kingdom to start fighting the diseases through immunization.

Dr Atwine added that at the moment the emphasis will put on the immunizing for other diseases and accessing TB.
