Top Army Officials Cited In Land Grabbing

The residents of Ngongwe sub-county in Buikwe district are detesting the high ranking army officials and the investors that have continued to grab their land.

The residents say that it is not only their land that is snatched but they have also been evicted from the lakeshores.

All this was said during the interaction with Inter party organization for Dialogue.

Which is on the nationwide tour, through which areas of Buikwe, Katakwi, Luuka, Gulu and Kabalore have been visited.

 Frank Nyakana Lusamu, the secretary-general of Interparty Organization for Dialogue pointed out challenges citizens are facing despite the peace.

On the same occasion, the Buikwe residents pointed NFA as one of the most corrupt government bodies that let deforestors encroach on the forests freely.

Worse still they are not contented with various commissions that have formulated to investigators various matters since they have not produced results.

Mathias Kigongo the Biukwe L.C.V chairperson highlighted the fact the people are complaining despite the voting rights and other opportunities.

James Francis, the Buikwe RDC commended the IPOD for this opportunity offered to the public since members have not been exposing the corrupt government officials.
