As Uganda prepares to celebrate her 57th independence tomorrow in Sironko district the UPDF spokesperson Brig. Kalemire Richard says all is set for the celebrations, and that the security well prepared, therefore he is calling upon all Ugandans to come and join them in Sironko for the independence commemoration.
He also points out that for the past 500 years Uganda had never had peace like it has been for the past 30 years under the NRM leadership.
He, however, said that they still have some challenges of insecurity but for this to stop, all Ugandans must work together with the security organs.
Brig. Kalemire added that the NRM government is now on a tough task of making sure most of the youth in the country get jobs as this seems to be the biggest challenge Uganda is facing now but rather than insecurity.
He also said they are expecting the current head of state of Zimbabwe to attend the independences commemoration as its one of the countries in Africa with a history of helping in a fight for peace and independence for most African countries, and that this was first done under the leadership of the late Robert Mugabe.
