Buddu Coffee Cooperative Society Upbraids Government Over Unfulfilled Promises

Coffee farmers in a joint Coffee Cooperative Society are not pleased with the government for failing fulfilling promises.

They were promised that roads such as Misanvu, Kyabakuza and Matatete would be constructed plus a track for transporting coffee.

Abdullah the deputy Pokiino recounted that Buddu was famously known for coffee farming through the cooperatives though now it has only on cooperative society in place.

David Luswata the cooperative vice chairperson revealed that the pests that attack and dries the coffee stalks remain a great challenge to the farmers in Buddu.

Sowedi Sserwada, a council member of the cooperative revealed that they decided to buy the farmers produce at a reasonable to price in order to not discourage them.

Muhamad Katerega the Bukoma Nsimbi district chairperson commended the farmers for the determination that has seen them through and advised them to maintain the quality as emphasized by the comparatives such as avoiding spreading coffee on the bear ground for sun drying.

the coffee farmers appreciated the cooperatives works, in addition, the farmers that excelled above others were appreciated through issuing to certificates and hard cash.
